MTV once again killing their Musical past and bastardizing something from the past...

Just like they ruined Teen Wolf by making the comedy into an angsty series that takes a massive dump on the source material... Now don't get me wrong. (Angsty) "Teen Wolf" is a decent show, but it needed some of the campier elements from the movie... I'd say kinda like Buffy.

So, in the vein of Teen Wolf, we are Getting an MTV Scream Adaptation...
I honestly do not care since the only reason I watch MTV once in a blue moon is:

So, Scream Adaptation, or Bastardization had to do some changes in the Iconic Ghostface mask.
The reason for this change is not the BS Excuses that the article gives... I'll get into that after telling the most likely reason.
The mask was made by a third party and MTV doesn't want to pay for it...
And instead of getting Ghost Face we are getting Mike Meyers Blow Up Doll mask...

“The [original] mask is so iconic. If you were to have that mask in a television series, but you weren’t following any of the characters [from the original], I believe that would be misleading the audience,” says exec producer Jaime Paglia (Eureka).
Not really. The mask IS iconic, so you can't call the show "Scream" WITHOUT the Ghost Face mask wearing killer. not to be confused with Ghostface Killah... It's like making a cyborg out of Jason Voorhes. That don't work!
Misleading would be promising Scream and getting Ghost Face's younger brother who works on Porn.

“It evokes some of the Jason hockey mask and the white Michael Myers mask, but it’s still first and foremost evocative of the Scream mask. It’s sort of a reinvention while also paying homage.”

It's not evocative of the Scream Mask. The Scream Mask (Ghost Face) was evocative of The Scream (The painting). This is evocative of Blow up dolls and we know what goes in their mouths.
Being white and having straps does not equal tribute to Halloween and Friday the 13th.

This is a weaksauce excuse to not having the real mask.
